Why In-Process Garment Inspection?

In-Process Garment Inspection is performed during production to identify quality issues before they become bulk or shipment-level problems. Early detection allows factories to take immediate corrective action, reduce rework and rejection, and maintain consistent product quality throughout the production process.

How CIAATT Conducts In-Process Inspection

Our experienced inspectors follow a structured inspection approach based on the buyer's requirements, approved sample, specifications, workmanship standards, and applicable quality criteria.

1. Production Status Review
Verify production progress, order details, style, color, size, quantity, and production stage.

2. Cutting & Component Verification
Check fabric condition, shade, panel matching, cutting accuracy, numbering, bundling, and component specifications.

3. Sewing & Workmanship Inspection
Inspect construction, stitching, seam quality, SPI, attachment, alignment, symmetry, puckering, skipped stitches, open seams, and other workmanship defects.

4. Measurement Verification
Measure critical Points of Measurement (POM) during production and compare them with the approved measurement chart and tolerances.

5. Appearance & Product Integrity
Check overall appearance, shape, fitting, shade consistency, print/embroidery/logo placement, trims, labels, and other style-specific requirements.

6. Process Risk Identification
Identify recurring or high-risk defects and communicate them to the factory team for immediate containment and corrective action.

7. Follow-Up & Verification
Review corrective actions and verify whether identified issues have been effectively controlled in subsequent production.
